Italian racing team Prema Racing has announced that Callum Ilott will join the team for the 2025 IndyCar Series season. Ilott, a highly rated British driver, joins Prema after an impressive debut season in Indy NXT, where he finished fifth in the championship standings and claimed two victories.

Ilott's move to IndyCar comes after a successful career in Formula 2, where he finished runner-up in the 2020 championship. He also has experience in Formula 1, having made two starts for Alfa Romeo in 2021.

Prema is one of the most successful teams in junior single-seater racing, and has a strong track record in IndyCar. The team has won the IndyCar Series championship twice, in 2018 and 2019, and has also won the Indianapolis 500 twice.

Ilott's signing is a major coup for Prema, and he is expected to be a title contender in the 2025 IndyCar Series season. He will be joined at Prema by reigning IndyCar Series champion Rinus VeeKay.
