How to Draw APJ Abdul Kalam Step by Step for Beginners
Part 1: Materials and Preparation
Before you start drawing, you'll need a few essential materials:
- Pencil (HB or 2B)
- Eraser
- Drawing paper
- Ruler (optional)
- Black marker (optional)
Once you have your materials, find a comfortable workspace with good lighting. Make sure your drawing surface is clean and flat.
Step 1: Draw the Basic Shape
Start by drawing a circle for the head. Then, add a vertical line for the neck and a horizontal line for the shoulders. Make sure the proportions are roughly accurate to ensure a realistic drawing.
Step 2: Sketch the Facial Features
Within the circle, sketch the basic facial features, including the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Use light pencil strokes to lightly outline these features without pressing too hard.
Step 3: Outline the Hairstyle
Draw a curved line above the forehead to indicate the hairline. Continue with a few short, light pencil strokes to create the wavy texture of Kalam's hair.
Step 4: Define the Shirt and Shoulders
Sketch the outline of Kalam's shirt collar, following the shape of the shoulders. Draw two lines extending down from the shoulders to represent the sleeves.
Step 5: Add Details and Shading
Use a darker pencil to add details to the facial features, such as the pupils, eyebrows, and wrinkles. Shade the hair with short, quick strokes to create a natural look.
Step 6: Outline and Shade the Glasses (Optional)
If desired, you can add glasses to Kalam's face by drawing a thin line for the bridge of the glasses and circles for the lenses. Shade the lenses slightly to give them a more realistic appearance.
