Rookie of the Year: Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals breakout star

Ja'Marr Chase was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals with the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he led the Bengals in receiving yards (1,455) and touchdowns (13). He also set a Bengals rookie record for receiving yards in a single game (266). Chase's outstanding performance earned him the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

College football standout

Prior to his NFL career, Chase played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU). During his three seasons with the Tigers, he caught 214 passes for 3,681 yards and 41 touchdowns. In his final season at LSU, Chase won the Fred Biletnikoff Award, which is given to the nation's top wide receiver.

Breakout 2021 season

Chase's rookie season in the NFL was a breakout year for the young wide receiver. He quickly became one of quarterback Joe Burrow's favorite targets and was a key part of the Bengals' success. Cincinnati made it to the Super Bowl in 2022, but lost to the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the loss, Chase had a great game, catching 5 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Chase is still just 22 years old and has already accomplished a lot in his young career. He is one of the most exciting young players in the NFL and has the potential to be one of the best wide receivers in the league. The Bengals are lucky to have him and he is a big part of their future plans.
